Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Alliances drives continuous improvement of implementation and partner relationship management best practices and helps Caris be recognized as a biopharma partner of choice.
Responsibilities
- Own/oversee execution, delivery, and relationship management of programs with biopharma/biotech partners to maximize partnership value.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic alliance programs: due diligence and alliance health checks; annual operating plans; contract management.
- Lead prescriptive delivery: gather partner requirements, recommend provisioning of Caris solutions, direct delivery teams, ensure high-quality alliance commitments, manage timelines/technical performance, and escalate roadblocks.
- Process management and governance/decision-making preparation; lead partner implementations.
- Alignment/relationship management: continuous improvement, redesign governance, identify expansion opportunities, serve as SME for expansion feasibility, risks, resourcing, and timelines.
- Proactive risk management: identify/assess/communicate needs, risks, dependencies; lead mitigation planning and issue resolution.
- Customer/business excellence: communicate Caris value, provide best-practice recommendations, tailor delivery approaches, mentor, pilot improvements, and provide account-level forecasting inputs.
- When applicable: lead/coach team; manage day-to-day operations and resource allocation; ensure partner satisfaction and contractual obligations; support performance/talent/succession/hiring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree and 4+ years in molecular biology/clinical molecular diagnostics/oncology; real-world data relationships; drug development/discovery; clinical research/study management; product management; companion diagnostics; healthcare implementation/delivery/program management.
- Manager-level experience or higher; travel up to 20%; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business internet tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CLIA/CAP/GMP/GCP/IVDR/HIPAA and impact to operations; experience delivering/partnering on oncology/lab/therapeutic offerings, data products, or clinical-trial enrollment solutions; led cross-functional teams/direct reports.
