Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Alliances improves implementation and partner relationship management best practices and helps Caris be recognized as a biopharma partner of choice.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage/oversee strategic alliances portfolio, including partner due diligence and alliance health checks; execute annual operating plans.
- Contract management: guide internal teams to meet partnership agreement aims, deliverables, and objectives.
- Delivery: gather partner requirements; recommend/provision Caris solutions; lead delivery from inception to final deliverables; manage timelines/technical performance; prioritize, organize, escalate roadblocks, and track to goals.
- Process management: prepare governance; lead partner implementations to exceed expectations and meet timelines.
- Alignment & relationship management: drive mutual understanding/trust; enhance/redesign governance; identify expansion opportunities; act as internal SME validating feasibility, risks, resourcing, and timelines.
- Proactive risk management: identify/assess/communicate partner needs, risks, dependencies; lead mitigation planning and issue resolution.
- Customer/Business excellence: communicate value; tailor delivery; build/maintain relationships; mentor and develop team capability; contribute to process improvements and pilots; provide forecasting inputs (dates, sample volumes, risks, assumptions, capacity).
- (If applicable) Lead and develop team; foster high-performance environment; ensure partner satisfaction and contractual delivery; allocate resources; make data-driven decisions; support performance management, succession planning, and hiring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree and 4+ years in: molecular biology/clinical molecular diagnostics/oncology; or managing multimodal real-world data; drug development/discovery; clinical research/study management; product management; companion diagnostics; healthcare implementation/delivery/program management.
- Manager-level experience.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business internet tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Regulatory/quality knowledge (CLIA, CAP, GMP, GCP, IVDR, HIPAA).
- Experience delivering/partnering on oncology offerings, lab services, therapeutic programs, healthcare data products, or clinical-trial enrollment.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams/direct reports.
