Senior Agentic Workflow Engineer (Agentic AI workflows for biologics discovery)
Position Summary
Build and maintain agentic workflows and orchestration for scientific data analysis and secondary processing. Implement automation/AI pipelines connecting automation software, data stores, models, and compute; partner to translate scientific priorities into working systems and enable closed-loop feedback across the DMTL cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve agentic workflows to automate secondary analysis for biologics discovery assays.
- Develop and maintain real-time/near-real-time pipelines connecting automation, data stores, models, and compute.
- Partner with IT/platform teams for resilient APIs, observability, versioning, and end-to-end workflow orchestration.
- Extend shared GenAI platforms/agentic frameworks for biologics discovery.
- Ensure automated outputs are semantically consistent, reusable, and production-deployable; support AI-driven learning (closed-loop, AI-ready data with strong metadata/provenance/lineage).
Qualifications
Required:
- Masterβs/Ph.D. in CS/Engineering or related field (or Bachelorβs with substantial relevant experience).
- 2+ years building scientific workflow orchestration/automation, including agentic workflows.
- Hands-on real-time/near-real-time data pipelines integrating heterogeneous scientific/instrument outputs.
- Experience applying agentic AI/LLM agents (or similar intelligent automation) to scientific/lab workflows.
- Experience with enterprise/shared GenAI platforms and RAG/GraphRAG.
- Strong communication in ambiguous matrixed settings.
Preferred:
- Drug discovery domain experience (biologics, high-throughput experimentation, imaging).
- Lab automation/robotics/cyber-physical systems exposure.
- MLOps/DevOps, workflow engines, production monitoring/observability.
- FAIR data, ontologies/semantic models, lineage/provenance, AI-ready standards.
Location (no remote): Spring House, PA (strongly preferred), Titusville or Raritan, NJ, Cambridge, MA, or Madrid, Spain.
Comp/Benefits (as listed): Base pay range $109,000β$174,800; annual performance bonus; medical/dental/vision/life/short- and long-term disability and other listed insurance; 401(k) and pension; vacation up to 120 hours/year, sick up to 40 hours/year, holiday/floating holidays up to 13 days/year and up to 40 hours Work/Personal/Family Time/year.
