Responsibilities (ALD Specialist)
- Promote marketed products per corporate guidance in an assigned territory and designated accounts within the PH-ILD and IPF community.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, and specialty distributor staff; deliver maximal product messaging and education on assigned UT products (including Tyvaso, per package insert).
- Analyze sales reports; develop and implement business plans to increase business and drive sales in key accounts to achieve/exceed targets.
- Coordinate with other field-based team members to optimize selling, education, and support.
- Use available resources to drive sales with key customers.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of disease state, product, and competitive landscape.
- Use sales force automation for territory effectiveness and record-keeping.
- Complete UT administrative requirements (e.g., expense reports and call reporting) per UT Commercial Compliance Guidelines.
- Adhere to corporate, external regulatory, and UT guidelines for product promotion.
- Attend PH-ILD and/or IPF symposia/conferences to provide education and promotion support.
- Attend patient support group meetings per PHA guidelines; participate in directed sales/marketing project teams.

Territory/Travel
- Kansas City and surrounding areas; remote in the Kansas City, MO area.
- 75–80% travel; candidates must be able to travel by motor vehicle and/or airplane.

Minimum Requirements (ALD Specialist)
- Bachelor’s degree (prefer nursing/life science) or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years selling specialty pharmaceuticals to HCPs OR 6+ years healthcare/nursing experience with advanced lung disease.
- 2+ years Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary Therapeutics area experience.
- Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary therapeutic area expertise.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, planning, interpersonal skills.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of UT products/services.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales.
- 2+ years PH-ILD and/or IPF sales.
- 2+ years selling in institutional/major teaching centers.

Minimum Requirements (Senior ALD Specialist)
- Bachelor’s degree (prefer nursing/life science) or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years specialty pharmaceutical selling to HCPs.
- 4+ years specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales.
- 4+ years selling in institutional/major teaching centers.
- 2+ years Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary Therapeutics area experience.
- 1+ year facilitating training workshops (internal UT employees only).
- 2+ years as a successful Cardiopulmonary Specialist exceeding sales targets (per UT internal criteria).
- Leadership, communication, decision-making, planning, interpersonal skills; product knowledge; valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications (Senior)
- 2+ years specialty pharmacy-distributed pharmaceutical product sales.
- 2+ years PH-ILD and/or IPF sales.

Compensation
- ALD Specialist: $130,000–$160,000 base salary range.
- Senior ALD Specialist: $155,000–$180,000 base salary range.
