Responsibilities:
- Promote UT products in a defined territory and accounts to the PH-ILD and IPF community.
- Build and maintain relationships with HCPs (MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs) and specialty distributor staff; deliver product messaging/education.
- Analyze sales reports; develop business plans to increase sales and meet/exceed targets.
- Coordinate with other field team members to optimize selling/education.
- Use available resources and develop expert knowledge of disease state, product, and competitive landscape.
- Use sales force automation; complete administrative requirements (expense and call reporting per Commercial Compliance Guidelines).
- Adhere to corporate/external regulatory/UT promotion guidelines.
- Attend PH-ILD and/or IPF symposia/conferences and patient support group meetings; participate in sales/marketing project teams.
Territory: Boston, South Boston, MA – Providence, RI.
Location & Travel:
- Remote within the Boston area; 75–80% travel (face-to-face visits, UT offices, national events). Must travel by car and/or airplane.
Minimum Requirements – ALD Specialist:
- Bachelor’s (preferably nursing or life science) or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years selling pharma/similar to specialty HCPs OR 6+ years healthcare/nursing in advanced lung disease.
- 2+ years Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary therapeutics.
- Therapeutic area expertise; strong leader; communication; decision-making/planning; UT product knowledge; valid driver’s license.
Preferred – ALD Specialist:
- 2+ years specialty pharma/biotech sales; 2+ years PH-ILD and/or IPF; 2+ years institutional/major teaching centers.
Minimum Requirements – Senior ALD Specialist:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent.
- 8+ years selling pharma/similar to specialty HCPs; 4+ years specialty pharma/biotech sales; 4+ years institutional/major teaching centers.
- 2+ years Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary therapeutics; 1+ year training workshops (Internal UT employees only) (required).
- 2+ years as successful Cardiopulmonary Specialist exceeding targets (Internal promotional criteria).
- Strong leadership/communication; multi-region selling track record; decision-making/planning; UT product knowledge; valid driver’s license.
Preferred – Senior ALD Specialist:
- 2+ years specialty pharmacy-distributed pharma sales; 2+ years PH-ILD and/or IPF.
