Senior Accountant, General Ledger

Role: The Senior Accountant, General Ledgers, manages accounting policies, procedures, and controls related to the organization’s general ledger. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; maintaining fixed assets; ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX; performing variance analysis; supporting process improvements and audits; and contributing to internal controls. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in finance or accounting; 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge. Preferred skills include experience with financial data analysis, public company or biotech industry exposure, and systems familiarity such as Microsoft Dynamics D365. High-Value: Focus on internal accounting functions within a biotech context, with an emphasis on compliance, financial reporting, and process efficiency. Work setup: On-site in El Segundo or Torrey Pines, CA, with standard weekday hours and flexibility upon approval.
