Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant supporting Montai Therapeutics' financial operations within a biopharma startup focused on small molecule therapeutics for chronic diseases. Responsibilities: manage month-end and quarter-end closes ensuring US GAAP compliance, perform account reconciliations, review P&L accounts, develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, prepare analytical reports, support internal/external financial reporting, ensure internal controls, assist with audits and tax processes, and contribute to system implementations and process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's in accounting, 2-3 years Big Four public accounting experience preferred, 1-2 years biotech or life sciences industry experience preferred, extensive GAAP knowledge, proficiency in Excel and Word, detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Additional skills: experience with NetSuite is a plus, excellent communication, ability to work independently and collaboratively, adaptable and deadline-driven. Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, MA.
