Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will support the financial close and reporting process, with a focus on revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting in accordance with ASC 606.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliations and journal entries; maintain revenue recognition models (gross-to-net) to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
- Partner with the accounting team to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial reporting.
- Work with Commercial Finance, Market Access, Compliance, and Supply Chain to record and report revenue and provide insights into business impacts.
- Support internal controls (SOX) and external financial reporting (SEC Reporting) as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Legal, HR, IT, R&D, Operations, Sales & Marketing).
- Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
- Communicate clearly with explanations and clarifying questions; implement continuous improvements and solve routine problems.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting (required); CPA preferred.
- 2β4 years related experience (required); Big 4 audit experience (preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP; preferred experience in pharma/biotech and/or gross-to-net revenue.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Pay Range: $95,000 USD β $115,000 USD
