Senior Accountant

Role: Financial Accountant specializing in general ledger and intercompany reconciliation within a biopharma setting. Objectives include ensuring accurate month-end closing, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and SEC standards, and supporting audit processes. Responsibilities encompass preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing expenses, and assisting in financial planning activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting, at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a publicly traded biopharma company; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and SAP FI Financials; deep understanding of GAAP, fixed asset, accrual, prepaid expense, and intercompany accounting. Preferred: experience with SAP S4/HANA. High-Value: experience with public company financial regulations, month-end close processes, and external audits in a biopharma context. Work setup: hybrid environment based in Waltham, MA, requiring 3 days onsite; occasional training or meetings may necessitate additional onsite presence.
