Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant supporting Fate Therapeutics' finance team with core accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end/quarter-end closing, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: oversee account reconciliations, prepare journal entries focused on clinical trial accruals, vendor and lease accounting, analyze financial data, and assist with SEC filings and audits. Manage clinical agreement reviews and vendor onboarding processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; 3+ years' experience in accounting, preferably in biotech or public companies; CPA or active pursuit preferred. Skills: strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, SOX compliance, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. High-Value: biotech/pharma environment, clinical trial accruals, regulatory reporting, technical accounting, and financial analysis within a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Work setup: full-time, onsite at San Diego headquarters; physical presence required 4+ days/week.
