Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant responsible for managing the company's financial close processes, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC, and SOX standards. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, supporting audits, maintaining internal controls, and improving close efficiencies. The role involves supporting SEC disclosures, financial statement preparation, and complex transaction research, with a focus on biotech or pharma industry standards. Requirements: Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; 4+ years of experience, including 2+ years in public accounting auditing publicly traded companies; strong technical accounting expertise, especially in U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, and financial reporting. Preferred skills include experience with SEC filings (10-Q/10-K), ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), and commercial biotech accounting practices such as revenue recognition and inventory. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external auditors is integral. Work environment: home-based with periodic travel to SAB locations.
