Role Summary
Security Officer, 3rd Shift at Viatris. This role is responsible for enforcing security policies, monitoring access control systems, and ensuring a secure workplace during the 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift, with flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure employees act in accordance with accepted security policies, procedures, and programs.
- Direct traffic on company premises and enforce parking regulations.
- Assist the contract security staff and respond to questions as needed.
- Control visitor, contractor, and vendor access to Viatris property.
- Monitor Access Control System and Closed-Circuit Television System.
- Respond to alarm conditions.
- Complete and pass SIDA Security Testing and training annually.
- Alert the Manager of Security of any problems on Viatris property.
- Complete and submit daily forms, reports, and checklists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in law enforcement or military preferred. 0–2 years of military, law enforcement, or security experience required; related experience/education may be considered.
- Significant law enforcement and/or military experience may be considered in lieu of a formal bachelor's degree.
- Valid Driver’s License for 2 years prior to the date of application.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb steps; may require lifting or handling objects.
- Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday – 3rd Shift 11 PM–7 AM; flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing) required.
