Key responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of log files from a variety of sources (host logs, network traffic logs, security system/IDS logs, EDR systems, SIEM logs) to identify threats to security.
- Utilize incident handling methodologies and frameworks (e.g., VERIS, MITRE, NIST, ISF).
- Coordinate and provide expert technical support to enterprise cyber security partners to resolve cyber incidents and implement best practices.
- Coordinate with enterprise cyber defense staff to review escalated incidents.
- Assess the effectiveness of security controls for services, applications, and associated processes.
- Identify, capture, contain, and report on malware; analyze anomalous code as malicious or benign.
- Isolate, analyze, and remove malware; design countermeasures for known and intelligence-driven security risks and threat actors.
- Collect, process, package, transport, and store electronic evidence; review logs for evidence of past intrusions.
- Characterize and analyze logs/alerts/analytics/network traffic/trends and threat tactics to identify anomalous activity.
- Confirm intrusion details via dynamic analysis; create forensically sound forensic images of evidence.
- Provide technical and non-technical incident summaries; perform event correlation for situational awareness.
- Monitor open-source sites/intelligence feeds for hostile content; integrate threat tactics into threat hunting and reports.
- Prepare and present incident response briefings; assist with data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compensating controls reduce identified risk to an acceptable level.
- Collaborate continuously with other analysts and experts.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (MIS, IT, or Engineering related).
- Knowledge of security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or threat intelligence.
- Scripting knowledge: PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Power Automate.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication; English proficiency required.

- Salary range: $55,000.00β$105,000.00 USD. Competitive salaries and benefits.
