Role Summary
Scientist II (Molecular Profiling)
Responsibilities
Support preclinical formulation development of pharmaceutical agents.
Responsible for
i) performing molecular characterization activities related to small-molecule active pharmaceuticals,
ii) efficiently processing & visualizing data &
iii) maintaining & keeping an accurate laboratory notebook.
Designing experiments to characterize molecules & support projects. Autonomous & productive in performing lab work.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Must possess a MS in Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering, or related field or foreign education equivalent, & 2 years of work experience as a lab scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience requirements (at least 1 year in each):
leveraging fundamental pharmaceutics principles in experimental design, thought process in problem-solving, & data analysis;
supporting medicinal & or process chemistry in the selection & characterization of drug substance solid form;
performing laboratory experimentation, pilot plant, & /or manufacturing support, with direction from or interaction with supervisor;
formulating conclusions & design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data;
pursuing areas of investigation that are scientifically impactful to development & pipeline programs;
designing & conducting data driven experiments that further project goals;
applying theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline;
performing analytical techniques including HPLC; &
engaging with CROs &/or external partner organizations to design and conduct program critical studies.
