Role Summary

Scientist II (Molecular Profiling)

Responsibilities

  • Support preclinical formulation development of pharmaceutical agents.
  • Responsible for
    • i) performing molecular characterization activities related to small-molecule active pharmaceuticals,
    • ii) efficiently processing & visualizing data &
    • iii) maintaining & keeping an accurate laboratory notebook.
  • Designing experiments to characterize molecules & support projects. Autonomous & productive in performing lab work.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Must possess a MS in Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering, or related field or foreign education equivalent, & 2 years of work experience as a lab scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience requirements (at least 1 year in each):
  • leveraging fundamental pharmaceutics principles in experimental design, thought process in problem-solving, & data analysis;
  • supporting medicinal & or process chemistry in the selection & characterization of drug substance solid form;
  • performing laboratory experimentation, pilot plant, & /or manufacturing support, with direction from or interaction with supervisor;
  • formulating conclusions & design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data;
  • pursuing areas of investigation that are scientifically impactful to development & pipeline programs;
  • designing & conducting data driven experiments that further project goals;
  • applying theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline;
  • performing analytical techniques including HPLC; &
  • engaging with CROs &/or external partner organizations to design and conduct program critical studies.
