Role Summary
2026 Summer Internship Program: Clinical Site Startup & Engagement Team. The interns will support the current and future fiscal year business efforts for the Clinical Site Startup & Engagement team in Feasibility and Trial Equity, Study Start-Up, and Patient Recruitment & Retention, with opportunities to partner with other business units and present learnings.
Responsibilities
- Feasibility: Support the identification of the competitive landscape for a given trial/indication.
- Study Start-Up: Review the documents Study Start-Up is responsible for tracking; support the tracking of reportable metrics.
- Patient Recruitment & Retention: Develop strategies for effective clinical trial messaging and tactics to resonate with a broad population.
- Trial Equity: Support the development of a global diversity strategy; assist in maintaining the Diversity & Inclusion in Clinical Trials resource database and shadow CSSE colleagues on at least 1 trial; collect external communications related to D&I in Clinical Trials to build personal acumen.
Qualifications
- Required: This position will be fully remote.
- Required: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, natural/physical sciences, biostatistics, mathematics, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, gender studies, ethnic/cultural studies, world culture, health education, nursing, medical sciences, pre-pharmaceutical studies, or pharmaceutical science.
- Required: Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with compiling statistics, database management, quantitative & qualitative research, basic project planning, research, and basic technical writing.
- Internship Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship; enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later; internship duration 10-12 weeks across May 26–August 14 or June 15–August 21; able to work full-time 40 hours/week; no housing/relocation stipend provided.
