Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for route scouting and designing/implementing safe, efficient, and robust chemical processes for synthesis of drug candidates; gather fundamental process knowledge and scale/transition processes to manufacturing.
- Design and execute experiments aligned with portfolio program strategy; analyze, compile, and share experimental data with project teams and management.
- Develop fundamental process knowledge to support transition from labs to clinical supply, regulatory filings, and manufacturing vendors; collaborate with Analytical Chemistry and engineering teams to develop knowledge and controls for successful clinical material supply and characterization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry (0β3 years related research experience) or M.Sc. in organic chemistry (4β8 years related research experience).
- Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry theory and practice; excellent problem solving; thorough understanding of synthetic methods and reaction mechanisms.
- Expertise in purification and characterization of organic compounds (Chromatography and NMR, MS, IR spectroscopy).
- Good oral and written communication skills; desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation (New Brunswick - NJ - US): $104,300 - $126,391 (starting range for full-time). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available.
