Position Summary
Scientist (CT-PRE) translating next-generation cell therapies into robust development platforms.

Responsibilities
- Design and conduct lab experiments to evaluate gene delivery and cell engineering strategies for CAR-T manufacturing feasibility.
- Lead workstreams/experiments optimizing and implementing scalable lentiviral vector production for in vivo CAR-T therapy platforms.
- Document workflows, results, and deviations in electronic lab notebooks for reproducibility and process understanding.
- Perform data analysis and clearly communicate findings to R&D teams.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams; communicate CT-PRE activities, data, and recommendations.
- Collaborate on experimental execution and deliver study outcomes.
- Train and mentor junior team members as appropriate.
- Demonstrate scientific rigor: critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree with 5+ years academic/industry experience; or
- Masterโ€™s degree with 3+ years academic/industry experience; or
- Ph.D. (Life Sciences or equivalent), no experience required.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Viral vector process development (upstream + downstream) for CAR-T; scalable bioprocesses for STR culture/manufacturability.
- Understanding of viral transduction (mechanisms, tropism, integration).
- Aseptic mammalian cell culture; primary T-cell culture, activation, expansion.
- Analytical characterization/critical quality attributes (titer, purity, potency, sterility) and T-cell biology/immunology (activation, phenotype, functional assays).
- T-cell manufacturing workflows (apheresis handling, activation, gene delivery, expansion, formulation).
- DoE/statistical data analysis for process optimization; LNP or other nanoparticle delivery familiarity.
- Site-specific gene editing (CRISPR-Cas/base/prime) knowledge/experience; flow + PCR/sequencing data interpretation.
- Communication and collaboration; can multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Seattle, WA: $122,810โ€“$148,814.
