About The Role
Scientist on the Research/Biologics team. Reporting to the Associate Principal Scientist, develop and screen novel gene editing therapies to support the gene editing therapies pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with peers to evaluate gene editing therapy candidate properties and function
- Design and produce novel gene editing therapy candidates
- Develop cell-based biological assays
- Author and review protocols, electronic notebook entries, technical reports, and scientific publications
- Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Communicate results to peers and management in writing and oral presentations
Who You Are
- PhD in a Life Science discipline (must be conferred by September 2026)
You Are Or You Also Have
- Hands-on molecular biology expertise (PCR, cloning, protein expression, mutagenesis, genetic engineering)
- Independent experimental design/assay development (troubleshooting, optimization, data analysis)
- Hands-on cell culturing (transfection and cell-based assays)
- Entrepreneurial, proactive problem-solving; open to learning
- Self-motivated, independent, team-oriented
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Flow cytometry
- NGS workflows (library construction)
- High throughput screens
- Protein purification and enzymatic assays

Pay Range
- $103,000.00β131,000.00 annual
