Scientist, Biologics β Large Molecule Analytical
Responsibilities:
- Develop, qualify, implement, troubleshoot, and transfer analytical methods for monoclonal proteins or other complex therapeutic proteins
- Solve complex analytical problems at the interface of biology, chemistry, and lab informatics to enable development of biologics drug substances and drug products
- Execute experiments and interpret data to support project timelines
- Author and review internal technical reports, regulatory filing sections (e.g., IND, BLA), and external scientific publications
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in analytical chemistry/biochemistry or related field with 3+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, or M.S. with 0+ years relevant experience
- Prior laboratory experience
- Ability to apply basic scientific principles and execute lab work
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot analytical methods
- Understanding of separations science fundamentals
- Experience with UPLC/HPLC (e.g., SEC, RP, IEX) and CE techniques and/or molecular biology (PCR, DNA extraction) and immunoassays (ELISA, gel electrophoresis)
- Ability to manage prioritization and deliverables with appropriate supervision
- Demonstrated collaborative team experience
Preferred:
- Experience working on project teams
- Knowledge of protein structure/degradation pathways; experience with modalities (mAb, ADC, fusion proteins)
- Analytical methodologies knowledge; understanding of CQAs/QbD/DOE
- Microsoft Office and research applications (e.g., RLIMS, ELN, Empower)
- Data analytics, programming, or laboratory automation
