Duties:
- Provide training, troubleshooting, and oversight of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analyses, including size-exclusion, cation/anion exchange, affinity, and reversed phase HPLC and/or ultra HPLC (UHPLC)
- Perform hands-on testing support of HPLC/UHPLC methods
- Implement new HPLC/UHPLC methods (draft test method SOPs, perform familiarization runs, document method establishment in method transfer reports)
- Perform and trend assay control charts to monitor HPLC/UHPLC testing performance
- Interface with analytical method developers and team leads on method performance
- Conduct technology development to improve speed and compliance
- Qualify HPLC/UHPLC methods to enable transfer to a quality control laboratory
- Collaborate with partner organizations during commercial process development, characterization, and validation to support marketing applications
- May telecommute; supervises direct reports

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or a chemistry-related occupation
- Includes 3 years of experience in: developing/executing/troubleshooting analytical HPLC methods; qualifying/transferring methods per pharmaceutical industry guidelines; operating/analyzing chromatography data software (e.g., Waters Empower, Agilent ChemStation, OpenLab); investigating out-of-trend/OOS results; training analysts on HPLC operation and data interpretation for biological/small molecule candidates; executing tests per U.S. or international pharmacopoeia
