Sample Handling Assistant IB

Role: Sample Handling Assistant IB in the Biorepository, responsible for managing and tracking biological samples, including labeling, receipt, transfer, storage, shipping, and disposal. Responsibilities include accessioning samples, maintaining inventory accuracy, interpreting protocol documentation, documenting discrepancies, and supporting process improvements within a high-volume lab environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma and 1+ year work experience; preferred candidates have 6+ months of sample handling, an associate’s degree, and training in liquid nitrogen handling. High-value specifics: involvement in biorepository operations, handling biological samples potentially including cryogenic procedures, adherence to SOPs and safety regulations, and exposure to laboratory environments. Work setup: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, in Greenfield, IN, with possible weekend and holiday work, overtime, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
