Sales Reporting & Analysis Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Calculate Sales Returns and Allowances, Gross Profit, Price Volume Variances, and Royalties on a monthly and quarterly basis per internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Perform analytics to develop financial models that identify and address business issues and/or opportunities.
- Streamline gross-to-net reporting through increased automation (including Alteryx) and visualization techniques.
- Analyze actual vs. forecasted results and provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers.
- Prepare product/customer profitability analysis (e.g., by customer and by product).
- Assist local leadership with financial analysis for special projects.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Implement and test new systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 0–4 years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong finance/accounting technical knowledge; advanced Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills and strong systems skills (preferably Hyperion and SAP).
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships.
- Ability to interpret data for assumptions and implications.
- Initiative; flexible and able to deliver timely, high-quality work in a team environment.
- Proven track record analyzing business trends; identify risks/opportunities; present recommendations clearly.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills; confidence to interact across all levels and lead in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to influence business decisions; strong decision-making and analytical skills (“big picture”).
Location/Work flexibility:
- Remote flexibility possible; preferred based in Morgantown, WV or East Coast (US).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $41,000 - $93,000.
