Role Summary
Sales Development Specialist at MIMEDX. Responsible for securing and qualifying sales leads, coordinating communication with external sales professionals, and supporting the sales team to propel the sales cycle. Maintain product knowledge and update CRM with outbound/inbound activities, collaborating with marketing and sales.
Responsibilities
- Make daily outbound calls to qualify leads from conferences and targeted campaigns
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective customers
- Research leads to determine customer needs and determine appropriate products/services to recommend
- Introduce company products/services to prospects and generate opportunities by setting appointments for the sales team
- Follow up with sales team on the status of qualified leads and opportunities
- Update CRM and other systems with calls, appointments, and activities
- Coordinate and execute follow-up plans aligned with sales territories and objectives
- Prepare reports on customer needs, feedback, interests, and competitive activities
- Maintain knowledge of the companyβs brands, systems, and order processes
- Stay informed on product applications, market conditions, and promotional trends related to sales
- Participate in meetings, training, and skill development
Qualifications
- Education: BS/BA in related discipline; certification may be required in some areas
- Experience: 0β2 years in related field; or MS/MA/MBA with 0β1 years
- Preferred: Life sciences experience; knowledge of FDA or AATB environment; Salesforce.com experience; sales or inside sales experience
