POSITION SUMMARY
This position will provide field-based technical support to Territory Business Managers in the Dakotas, Upper Midwest (Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota) and parts of Nebraska. Duties include direct customer interaction, account and call planning, and influencing key Consulting Nutritionists in the region. Additional responsibilities may include field research support, Learning and Development support for onboarding/training new sales team members, and collaborating with marketing on technical messaging.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise in cattle performance enhancement and nutrition
- Understand and apply data supporting performance enhancement technologies
- Meet with key opinion leaders and beef value chain leadership to ensure successful implementation
- Provide technical advice and act as a resource for inquiries
- Collaborate with U.S. Zoetis Beef Sales Team to develop/execute the Beef Operations Plan
- Develop strategies for targeted accounts; create and execute territory action plans
- Collaborate with R&D on research using performance enhancement technologies
- Create/maintain a customer-focused business development plan and manage related resources/budget
- Plan call cycles with team members; ensure appropriate account follow-up
- Deliver technical training/education to colleagues and external audiences (PowerPoint)
- Train on Synovex implants and related production management technologies; advise L&D on technical content
- Provide specialty support as directed by management; support special projects/product portfolio positioning
- Document activities and customer interactions for management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: PhD in Ruminant Nutrition; extensive knowledge of Zoetis products/animal health or ability to learn quickly.
Preferred: 3+ years post-doctoral experience in cattle industry/academia/research/feed company; master’s/meat science knowledge; dairy calf industry experience; published research; Spanish useful.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong communication and problem-solving; confident, customer-focused; teamwork
- Proficient in MS Office; ability to learn internal systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Leadership and strategy execution experience; strategic thinking; good judgment
- Ability to interact with and influence senior management and other functions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel extensively (60–70% of weeknights out)
