Rheumatology Institutional Specialist – Miami

Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy around formulary adoption of rheumatology brands to drive appropriate utilization of approved products.
- Create, organize, and execute strategic business plans for key strategic hospitals within assigned rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-specific business plans based on local market dynamics.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease area, market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends; use cross-functional strategies to navigate business opportunities and challenges.
- Execute sales activities by presenting products and disease states and sharing approved clinical data with physicians and their teams; build relationships with clinicians and decision-makers across the hospital.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) to develop, execute, and revise strategies to meet product access and sales targets.
- Assess customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and HQ teams to implement new strategies.
- Identify significant business opportunities and diagnose business/implementation challenges in designated hospitals and adjacent markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare (or similar) with large geographically dispersed sales teams; includes 2+ years in hospital sales or similar role managing sophisticated accounts (including large academic centers) within the past 5 years.
- Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge; proven record of accomplishment.
- Robust business background with strong cross-functional collaboration in matrix environments.
- Reside within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.
Desirable:
- Experience across therapeutic groups/disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.
Driving is an essential function: fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
