Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy around formulary adoption of rheumatology brands to drive appropriate utilization of approved products.
- Increase demand by creating, organizing, and executing strategic business plans for key strategic hospitals within designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-specific business plans aligned with local market dynamics.
- Apply strong understanding of the disease area, market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends to navigate business opportunities and challenges.
- Deliver presentations on products and disease states; share approved clinical data with physicians and their teams; build relationships with clinicians and decision-makers across the hospital.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) for designated hospital accounts; develop, execute, and revise strategies to meet access and sales targets.
- Evaluate customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and HQ teams; implement new strategies.
- Identify business opportunities and diagnose implementation challenges in designated hospitals and adjacent markets.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare (or similar) with large, geographically dispersed sales teams; including 2+ years in hospital sales or similar roles managing sophisticated accounts within past 5 years.
- Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge and record of accomplishment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration in matrix environments.
- Reside within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.
Driving is an essential function (must have fully valid/unrestricted driver’s license).
Field roles with dedicated training: complete initial training (home study; ≤8 hours/day and ≤40 hours/week).
