Research Associate, Process Development

Role Summary

Research Associate, Process Development at Wave Life Sciences. Conduct analytical characterization of stereopure oligonucleotides for discovery and development in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary biotech environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical QC of oligonucleotides by UV, endotoxin, osmolality, pH, UPLC, and LC-MS
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation such as UPLC, LC-MS, and additional benchtop equipment
• Summarize/present analytical findings at team meetings
• Maintain detailed written and electronic records of experimental protocols and data in accordance with company policy
• Maintain oligonucleotide inventory
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team
• Follow SOPs and adapt to new techniques and protocols

Qualifications

• Requires a BS/MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline with 1-5 years of laboratory experience
• Prior experience in oligonucleotide analysis is preferred but not required

• Understanding of analytical techniques such as UPLC and LC-MS
• Demonstrable organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Ability to be productive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team
