Research Associate I/II, Formulation & Process Development

Role: Research Associate supporting formulation and product development in biopharma, focusing on dried powder formulations using lyophilization and spray drying. Responsibilities: design and execute mixing protocols, produce and characterize dried formulations, support process scale-up and tech transfer, document experiments, and establish formulation best practices. Requirements: BS or MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related; up to 4 years of industry experience; familiarity with physical chemistry, powder characterization techniques (e.g., DSC, TGA, microscopy); ability to work independently in early-stage research; strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred: experience with stability studies, solid-state analysis, and scalable formulation processes. High-Value: early-stage platform development, small molecule or biologic formulations, stability testing, process characterization, in a fast-paced biotech setting. Location: Cambridge, MA.
