Summary:
Research Associate 1 (Analytical Sciences, Process Analytics & Services). Hands-on laboratory role supporting analytical testing and characterization of therapeutic candidates across process development, early clinical, late-stage, and commercial programs.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing to support process development and lifecycle programs (Drug Substance and Drug Product).
- Execute assays including: HPLC/UPLC; CE and gel-based electrophoresis (e.g., SDS-PAGE); UV/Vis and FTIR; ELISA (plate-based) and cell-based bioassays; basic nucleic acid and compendial physicochemical testing.
- Document results per GMP/GLP and internal procedures; analyze, interpret, and communicate data clearly.
- Support method qualification, optimization, validation, and transfer (under supervision); assist with drafting/updating analytical procedures, protocols, and reports; troubleshoot methods and workflows.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure readiness of reagents, standards, and materials.
- Support process development, manufacturing, and investigations; collaborate with DST, FPT, MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Quality teams.
- Support in-process, release, and stability testing.
- Maintain inspection-ready laboratory documentation and support audits/inspections.
- Document plans/results/conclusions; maintain electronic records for traceability and data integrity; present updates in meetings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement; support training/knowledge sharing.

Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with one or more analytical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, CE, ELISA, spectrophotometry).
- Basic GMP/GLP principles and data integrity expectations.
- Ability to analyze/interpret data; strong written/oral communication.
- Strong organization; manage multiple tasks; work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with LC/HPLC/UPLC and CE; biopharmaceutical development/protein characterization.
- Bioassay/cell-based assay experience.
- Analytical method lifecycle experience (qualification/troubleshooting/validation/transfer).
- Cross-functional or fast-paced environment experience.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
- 1–2 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment.
- Master’s degree a plus.

Additional Information:
- Fully onsite laboratory role; routine handling of chemicals/biological materials with safety practices; occasional flexibility as needed.

Reporting:
- Reports to Sr. Manager, Process Analytics & Services; no supervisory responsibilities.
