Description Overview
The Reliability Engineer champions the Total Reliability Management Process, facilitating the strategic development and implementation of maintenance strategies, standards, and processes to improve equipment reliability, and providing tactical support using reliability methodologies to troubleshoot and determine root causes.
Scope of the Role
- Guide development of the site asset care strategy and plan to drive uptime and stability.
- Develop asset care competencies within the Maintenance and Engineering team.
- Provide specialist guidance on asset care management.
- Ensure reliability/availability/maintainability techniques are incorporated into capital projects.
- Lead corrective actions for asset care program issues.
- Manage asset care systems; ensure functional and data integrity.
- Support condition monitoring (build competencies; set up outsourced activities; evaluate/introduce monitoring techniques; train with Training and OEM/suppliers).
- Interpret condition monitoring data; provide and implement recommendations with stakeholders.
- Support ongoing continuous improvement.
- Support Asset Reliability work processes (FMEA, RCA, Equipment Criticality Assessment).
- Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and improve reliability.
- Supervise Planning and Scheduling group along with a Reliability Engineer (Mechanical).
Experience Required
- 5+ years in maintenance or reliability engineering.
- Bachelorβs in Engineering, Technology, or related.
- Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance troubleshooting and best practices.
- Predictive maintenance tools: Vibration, Ultrasound, Thermography.
- ISO category 1 vibration preferred.
- Experience with maintenance management system (SAP preferred).
