Reliability Engineer (Lilly Medicine Foundry)
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to maintenance and equipment owners.
- Ensure maintenance programs and CMMS documentation support reliable equipment operation.
- Maintain CMMS data accuracy/structure; determine spare parts strategy.
- Ensure job plans are complete; develop/own departmental SOPs aligned to global standards.
- Train and mentor maintenance/process engineers on reliability principles and new equipment.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain plant reliability.
- Participate in HSE/Quality observation and deviation write-ups.
- Analyze predictive/condition-based monitoring data; prioritize follow-up actions.
- Use RCA/RCM/failure analysis to reduce downtime, deviations, HSE issues, and expenses.
- Determine equipment criticality and maintain criticality ranking in CMMS.
- Apply predictive maintenance technologies sitewide; assist with interpretation and corrective actions planning.
- Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for the Foundry.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding reliability impacts.
Basic Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or HS Diploma/Associateβs in technical discipline with 10+ years industrial maintenance & reliability experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Full-time US work authorization required; Lilly will not sponsor visas/work authorization.
Additional Preferences:
- Certified Reliability Engineer / Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional.
- Maximo/GMARS, Business Objects; FDA GMPs/ISO, deviation management, change controls.
- Predictive tech certifications (vibration/thermography/oil analysis/motor current/ultrasonic); RCM/FMEA/RCFA training; Six Sigma Green Belt; Weibull/LCC/JMP/TPM knowledge.
