Brief Description of Position
Responsible for managing external vendor(s)/partner(s) providing critical resources and services to support GCTO and GCD objectives and deliverables, with strong business acumen, change management, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for assigned external vendor(s) and internal stakeholders; initial escalation point.
- Oversee and manage external vendor(s) within assigned outsourcing category (e.g., Functional, Laboratory, or Clinical Service).
- Plan and execute Supplier Governance Meetings; ensure timely follow-up.
- Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with Research & Development Procurement to identify vendor candidates; actively participate in the Sourcing Management Process.
- Translate technical/business needs and develop KPIs and SLAs with stakeholders.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to evaluate performance.
- Ensure issues are resolved timely and deliverables are met.
- Contribute to end-to-end sourcing processes; mentor Relationship Manager Specialists or Senior Specialists (as needed).
Qualifications
- 7+ years of clinical trial or relevant industry experience.
- Strong partner/supplier management experience.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and make rapid, disciplined decisions.
Education
- Bachelorβs (or equivalent) in Business, Technical, or Life Sciences from an accredited university.
Preferred
- Leadership experience in high-performance teams/matrix organizations.
- Laboratory experience.
