Reimbursement Specialist

Role: Mid-level Reimbursement Specialist supporting Veracyte's cancer diagnostics reimbursement processes. Responsibilities: handle insurance billing operations including verifying coverage, submitting claims, tracking claim statuses, managing denials and appeals, and ensuring compliance with payer guidelines; assist patients with financial navigation and document management; utilize payor portals, maintain accurate records, and perform data entry. Requirements: high school diploma or GED; 2+ years in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle; proficiency in Microsoft Office, payer portals, and claim tracking systems; familiarity with HIPAA, ICD, CPT, HCPCS coding, and CMS 1500 forms; strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred: associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field; experience with CRM and billing software such as Epic or XiFin; knowledge of NUCC Claim Adjustment Reason Codes.
