Reimbursement Access Manager II

Essential Job Functions
- Serve as subject matter expert on reimbursement and access issues for rare disease products.
- Develop and execute strategies to overcome reimbursement/access barriers at patient and provider level.
- Partner with Patient Access/Sales teams to provide reimbursement education and support to HCPs.
- Manage specialty pharmacy partner relationships to ensure efficient patient access.
- Track/analyze reimbursement trends, payer policy changes, and competitive landscape to inform market access strategies.
- Respond to reimbursement inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with patient services to resolve escalated patient access issues.
- Train internal teams on reimbursement processes, coding, prior authorizations, denials, appeals, and rare-disease payer nuances.
- Support pipeline readiness (access materials and reimbursement tools).
- Provide expertise on trends/compliance to elevate Patient Access team performance.
- Support implementation of access strategies/programs; coach and mentor team members.
- Identify key HCPs needing support; conduct in-person meetings.
- Facilitate quarterly business reviews and presentations for high-touch offices.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree a plus); 20+ years relevant experience may substitute.
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech market access or reimbursement (rare disease/specialty preferred).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. reimbursement (Medicare/Medicaid/commercial).
- Experience with HUB services, payer policies, specialty pharmacies, and patient support programs.
- Coding/billing knowledge for rare disease (J-codes, CPT, ICD-10).
- Cross-functional, fast-paced multitasking; valid U.S. state driver’s license.
- Competencies: communication, analytical/problem solving, presentations, collaboration, customer service, adaptability, professionalism.

Working Conditions
- Evening/weekend work as needed; periodic overnight travel; travel up to 25%.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base salary range: $103,500–$193,200; comprehensive benefits (details at offer).
