Role Summary

Regional Territory Manager - GI Rare Disease - Allentown, PA. A patient-focused role within Takeda's Gastroenterology Sales Team, driving product demand in targeted physician offices and clinics, and impacting patient lives. You will be empowered to execute local marketing strategies and build relationships with healthcare providers to support the use of Takeda’s specialty products.

Responsibilities

  • Support account on-boarding, including education, and procedures.
  • Engage in clinical selling activities, delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers across a brand belief continuum.
  • Support initial clinical educational support and in-service for medical staff.
  • Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities and programs for HCPs, such as peer-to-peer discussions.
  • Conduct account management activities within GI practices, clinics and outlets as well as independent physician offices.
  • Attain sales goals and objectives by delivering specialty product volume and other key metrics in the assigned Territory, executing brand strategy and tactics within the assigned customer segment.
  • Establish professional working relationships with Health Care Providers, decision makers, support staff, and influencers to support the use of the company's products.
  • Develop and deliver targeted sales messages based on accurate clinical information, utilizing approved materials and medical reprints to support patients and discuss therapeutic strategies.
  • Execute marketing strategies at the local level, building customer engagement with key decision makers in healthcare provider systems and specialty practices.
  • Presents complex clinical and business information on Takeda's products to office and institutional Gastroenterologists and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs to expand knowledge of healthcare professionals; stay informed on disease states and treatments.
  • Strategically manages all allocated resources including financials, managed markets, medical affairs, and home office.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree – BA/BS
    • Minimum of 5 years direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry
    • Experience discussing therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers
    • Developing and applying clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills
    • Executing marketing strategies at the local level
    • Strong collaboration within teams
    • Strategic planning skills and adaptability to market changes
    • Understanding of managed care landscape and its impact on business
    • Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills
    • Ability to reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
  • Preferred:
    • Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues
    • Experience in calling on Gastroenterologists
