How You Will Make An Impact
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of Specialty Account Managers and Senior Specialty Account Managers within the local geography as well as the sales performance at the regional level.

In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Supervise operations of the region, including hiring, training, coaching and development of representatives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans; monitor activities/projects to achieve regional business potential.
- Establish and maintain an effective communications rhythm amongst team members.
- Maintain technical expertise to answer customer/representative questions regarding products and policies.
- Coach and counsel in the field to improve selling skills, product knowledge, and representative capabilities.
- Conduct performance reviews; provide feedback and coaching; handle performance management issues in coordination with HR.
- Plan and conduct Plans of Action and other meetings with the region.
- Develop, present, and implement quarterly and annual business plans.
- Monitor compliance with PDMA and sample accountability procedures; uphold laws/policies/processes for self and team.
- Coach direct reports to facilitate change management within accounts.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years leading successful sales results in pharmaceutical/biotech (equivalent education/experience considered).
- Ability to manage, develop, motivate, lead through change, and deliver on business imperatives.
- Knowledge of products/disease states and up-to-date Halozyme and competitor information.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and reimbursement programs.
- Planning and resource utilization skills; ability to manage a large geographic territory.
- Specialty sales leadership and product reimbursement experience (preferred).
- Tableau and Veeva; ability to coach on analytical toolsets.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel (frequent overnight/weekend travel).
