Role Summary
Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care โ Southeast
The Southeast region includes Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Meets and exceeds corporate sales objectives for the Region within the assigned geographies. Recruits, retains, and develops high-performing Territory Managers. Oversees Territory Manager policies and activities, provides coaching, and ensures execution of Sales & Marketing plans in alignment with corporate goals. Maintains compliance, builds relationships with the Eye Care community, and stays informed on market developments.
Responsibilities
- Meets & exceeds corporate sales objectives for the Region within the assigned geographies.
- Plans, directs, implements, and has full oversight of Territory Manager policies and activities for the specific geographical region.
- Recruits, retains, and develops high-performing Territory Managers.
- Assesses developmental needs of the Region and provides individualized development and coaching guidance.
- Drives performance of the Region while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Provides consistent, proactive, and individualized coaching to the Territory Managers and counsel to the sales team to overcome performance deficiencies.
- Demonstrates company culture norms through actions, leadership style, and collaboration with partners.
- Fosters a people-first, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, inclusiveness, and accountability.
- Manages and allocates resources within the Region; ensures execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
- Ensures Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and aligned with corporate goals.
- Works with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps.
- Reviews Region data and dashboards to identify opportunities and improvements.
- Establishes relationships with the Eye Care community and serves as an ambassador within the region; connects with key customers and Senior Leadership.
- Understands the Eye Care marketplace and stays updated on regional business developments.
- Complies with legal, regulatory, and compliance policies; maintains integrity and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelorโs degree and 6โ8 years of pharmaceutical/medical or related sales experience; Eye Care experience strongly preferred. 2โ3+ years of management experience preferred.
- Live within geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
- Valid Driverโs License and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel, including overnights, evenings, and weekends as needed; extensive overnight travel may be required.
- Demonstrated success with coaching and developing top talent; ability to assess talent to build high-performing teams.
- Leadership skills that foster growth, accountability, achievement, and alignment with organizational vision.
- Strong ability to drive results and execution; set challenging objectives.
- Ability to support the regulatory environment; promote products compliantly.
- Strong business acumen; use data to build business plans and drive performance.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and similar databases.
- English proficiency in speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing.

- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Travel expectations as part of the role; overnight travel may be extensive.
