Role Summary
Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care โ Southeast. Responsible for meeting and exceeding regional sales objectives within the Southeast (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia) and leading a team of Territory Managers to drive performance, development, and alignment with corporate goals.
Responsibilities
- Meets and exceeds corporate sales objectives for the Region within the assigned geographies.
- Plans, directs, implements, and oversees Territory Manager policies and activities for the region.
- Recruits, retains, and develops high-performing Territory Managers.
- Assesses developmental needs of the Region and provides individualized development and coaching guidance.
- Drives performance of the Region while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Provides consistent, proactive coaching to Territory Managers and counsels the sales team to overcome performance deficiencies.
- Demonstrates company culture norms through actions, leadership style, and collaboration with partners.
- Fosters a people-first, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, inclusiveness, and accountability.
- Manages and allocates regional resources; ensures execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
- Ensures Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and aligned with corporate goals.
- Works with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps.
- Reviews regional data and dashboards to identify opportunities and improve business results.
- Establishes relationships with the Eye Care community and serves as an ambassador within the region; interfaces with key customers and Senior Leadership.
- Stays informed about the Eye Care marketplace and regional business developments.
- Complies with all legal, regulatory, and compliance policies with integrity and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelorโs degree (or equivalent) and 6โ8 years of pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales experience; Eye Care experience strongly preferred. 2โ3+ years of management experience preferred.
- Must live within the geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
- Valid Driverโs License and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel required, including overnights, evenings, and weekends as needed; extensive overnight travel may be required.
- Experience coaching and developing top talent; ability to assess talent for building strong, high-performing teams.
- Leadership skills that foster growth, accountability, achievement, and alignment with organizational vision.
- Proven ability to drive results and execution; able to set challenging objectives.
- Ability to support regulatory environment and promote compliant product messaging.
- Strong business acumen; ability to analyze data and build business plans to drive performance and opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders; problem-solving and solution-focused mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and similar databases.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension).
Education
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent required.
