Role Summary

Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care – Arizona. Leads regional sales strategy and team performance for Eye Care products within Arizona and neighboring markets, driving objectives, coaching Territory Managers, and ensuring compliant execution.

Responsibilities

  • The Arizona region includes key markets in Arizona, Southern California, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. The ideal candidate will reside in Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; Irvine, CA; Costa Mesa, CA; or Newport Beach, CA.
  • Meets & exceeds corporate sales objectives for the Region within the assigned geographies.
  • Plans, directs, implements, and oversees Territory Manager policies and activities for the region.
  • Recruits, retains, and develops high-performing Territory Managers.
  • Assesses developmental needs of the Region and provides individualized development and coaching guidance.
  • Drives performance of the Region while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Provides consistent, proactive, and individualized coaching to the Territory Managers and counsels the sales team to overcome performance deficiencies.
  • Demonstrates company culture norms through actions, leadership style, and collaboration with partners.
  • Fosters a people-first, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, inclusiveness, and accountability.
  • Manages and allocates resources within the Region; ensures execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
  • Ensures Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and aligned with corporate goals.
  • Works with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps.
  • Reviews Region data and dashboards to identify opportunities and drive business.
  • Establishes relationships with the Eye Care community and acts as an Ambassador; connects with key customers and Senior Leadership.
  • Stays updated on Eye Care marketplace developments within the region.
  • Complies with all legal, regulatory, and compliance policies with integrity and professionalism.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor‚Äôs degree (or equivalent) and 6-8 years of pharmaceutical/medical sales experience; Eye Care experience preferred. 2-3+ years of management experience preferred. Combination of experience and/or education considered.
  • Must live within geography of responsibility or be within reasonable driving distance.
  • Must have valid Driver‚Äôs License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel, including overnights, evenings, and weekends as needed; extensive overnight travel expected.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing top talent; ability to assess talent for high-performing teams preferred.
  • Leadership skills that foster growth, accountability, achievement, and alignment with vision.
  • Ability to drive results, set challenging objectives, and raise performance standards.
  • Support for regulatory environment; act with integrity and promote compliant product promotion.
  • Strong business acumen; use data to build plans and uncover opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and similar databases.
  • English proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing.
