Regional Sales Director (RSD) β Territory: San Diego, CA; Southwest Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional launch planning/execution to drive successful market entry and sustained uptake.
- Translate national strategy into actionable regional business plans; achieve/exceed sales goals, market share, and launch KPIs.
- Monitor market dynamics, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence; adjust strategy in real time.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain 8β12 territory managers; coach via regular field contact.
- Maintain strong disease state, clinical, and product knowledge; drive performance with data-driven execution.
- Build relationships with key healthcare providers, health systems, IDNs, and strategic accounts; support access challenges and pull-through.
- Partner with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, Operations, and HR to support launch readiness; contribute field input to messaging/tactics.
- Ensure regional activities comply with company policies/industry regulations; manage budgets/resources; maintain forecasting, CRM usage, and reporting discipline.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required (advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years pharma/biotech sales; 3+ years people leadership in district/regional manager role.
- Proven specialty sales success; prior launch experience required (first-launch/startup biotech preferred).
- Strong business planning/analytical/coaching skills; ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
- Experience in cardiovascular/nephrology/hypertension or related markets strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within region (up to 60%, often overnight).
