Regional Sales Director (RSD) β Territory: Philadelphia, PA; Atlantic City, NJ; Delaware
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional launch planning and execution to ensure successful market entry and sustained product uptake.
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans; lead the team to achieve/exceed sales goals, market share targets, and launch KPIs.
- Monitor market dynamics, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence; adjust strategy in real time using data-driven decisions.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain territory managers; lead/coach/motivate ~8β12 managers.
- Establish and maintain strong disease state, clinical, and product knowledge.
- Evaluate performance through regular field contact; foster a high-performance culture (accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement).
- Build customer relationships with key healthcare providers, health systems, IDNs, and strategic accounts; partner on access challenges and account strategy; support pull-through.
- Collaborate with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, Operations, and HR to support launch readiness.
- Ensure regional activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards; manage budgets/resources; maintain forecasting, CRM utilization, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales; 3+ years people leadership in district/regional manager role.
- Proven specialty sales success; prior launch experience required (first-launch/startup biotech strongly preferred).
- Strong business planning/analytical/coaching skills; recruit/develop top talent.
- Specialty experience preferred: cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related.
- Travel up to 60% within region.

US Salary Range: $180,000β$215,000
