Regional Sales Director (RSD)
Responsibilities
- Lead regional launch planning and execution to ensure successful market entry and sustained product uptake.
- Translate national brand strategy into regional business plans and field priorities.
- Drive team to achieve/exceed sales goals, market share targets, and launch KPIs; monitor market dynamics/feedback/competitive intelligence and adjust in real time.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain 8β12 territory managers; coach via regular field contact; maintain disease-state, clinical, and product knowledge.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers, health systems, IDNs, and strategic accounts; partner on access challenges and account strategy; support pull-through.
- Collaborate with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, Operations, and HR to support launch readiness; provide field input into messaging/tactical adjustments.
- Ensure activities are compliant with company policies/industry regulations; manage budgets/resources; maintain accurate forecasting, CRM use, and reporting.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech specialty sales; 3+ years people leadership in district/regional manager role.
- Prior launch experience required; first-launch/startup biotech strongly preferred.
- Experience in cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related specialties strongly preferred.
- Proven recruiting/development, business planning/analytical/coaching skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment; travel extensively.

- Standard benefits: medical, dental, vision, time off, 401K; plus incentive plans contingent on performance.
- US salary range: $180,000β$215,000.
Travel
- Up to 60% travel, frequently overnight/outside local area.
