Role Summary
Regional Sales Director for Interventional Glaucoma โรรฌ Eye Care (West) is a field-based leadership role covering the western United States. The position requires directing sales strategy, leading regional teams, collaborating with marketing and senior management, and achieving sales goals within the IG portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Primary objective is to meet or exceed assigned sales goals defined in terms of units and/or sales dollars consistent with the approved business operating plans. Additionally, oversee expenditures at the regional level to meet fiscal responsibilities pertaining to the IG Business.
- Direct the sales strategy, planning, and execution for the field-based team by driving agreed-upon sales targets and long-term goals; position AbbVie as a market leader and solution-provider across the stakeholder base.
- Understand and execute marketing plans that drive results; implement strategies with clear priorities to yield results without unnecessary complexities.
- Drive growth and determine franchise logical strategic next steps; deliver financial results in top and relevant bottom-lines.
- Consider all facets of external market, segment and internal enterprise in strategy and plan setting.
- Exhibit deep and broad market knowledge across the Surgical/Interventional Glaucoma sector, geography and franchise(s), including payer dynamics; provide business acumen and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Successful sales management and a positive track record of leading teams in the Surgical Industry.
- Successful history of leadership in a surgical environment demonstrated through knowledge, execution, operations of Surgical centers in HOPD and ASC environments.
- Commercial pharmaceutical, medical, and surgical industry experiences such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care and marketing.
- Ability to set a vision and a strategy; build and inspire individuals and teams for success.
- Experience with project management; ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.

- Essential requirement to satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
