Role Summary
The Neuroscience Regional Sales Director leads the sales performance and professional development of a team covering the West Region, focusing on Chronic Migraine, Focal Spasticity, and Cervical Dystonia indications. The role drives sales strategy, operational excellence, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration, while ensuring compliance with AbbVie standards. Field-based with residence in the specified geography.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving/exceeding the Neurosciences sales (unit and dollar) national sales expectation and other goals established by the organization and in alignment with U.S. Marketing Plans, within expense, compliance, and legal guidelines.
- Continually analyze sales and business execution to uncover business needs, then develop/execute a plan that provides tactical direction, evaluates progress, measures results, and monitors the plan’s success to improve district, regional, and national sales performance.
- Facilitate a culture built around performance and inclusion. Develop, inspire, manage, and retain or promote team members while mentoring others across the organization.
- Collaborate with external customers and internal partners to ensure AbbVie resources address customer needs and improve sales performance.
- Meet established productivity and administrative requirements to maintain/improve operational effectiveness and efficiency supporting sales and marketing strategy.
- Provide direct feedback and manage communications to appropriate brand partners regarding the execution and reception of marketing and other initiatives.
- Assess and coach indication-specific anatomy, procedure, and injection trainings with working knowledge of the information.
- Drive personal auto or company car use, or operate a powered equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Successful sales management with a positive track record leading teams in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Commercial pharmaceutical experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care and marketing.
- Ability to set a vision and strategy; build and inspire individuals and teams for success; experience with project management; ability to network across functions.

- HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, licenses as required).

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel 50-75% overnight; readiness to cover regional commitments, conferences, trainings, and events
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements
