Role Summary
The Regional Patient Access Manager (RPAM) oversees field access support for healthcare professionals, coordinates with specialty and closed-door pharmacies, HUB partners, and builds a compliant, efficient pharmacy distribution network to maximize patient access to Neurocrine Biosciences products. This role acts as a subject-matter expert on payer coverage policies and processes, collaborates cross-functionally with sales, market access, and operations, and identifies opportunities to improve workflows and distribution effectiveness in a defined geography.
Responsibilities
- Provide field access support services and education to HCPs to maximize patient access and accelerate time to treatment
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies (SPs), Closed Door Pharmacies (CDPs) including Genoa, and HUB partners
- Vet and maintain integrity of the pharmacy distribution network within an assigned geography
- Educate HCPs on coverage issues for on-label prescriptions, access support services, forms, and payer-specific coverage issues
- Serve as a subject matter expert on regional and national payer coverage policies and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, network pharmacies, market access, analytics, and operations
- Work with Payer Marketing to develop materials on coverage requirements
- Utilize end-user feedback to ensure network effectiveness and share best practices with trade leadership
- Monitor processes and propose workflow improvements
- Conduct Patient Access workshops and assist with new hire training
- Promote a diverse and inclusive environment
- Lead and coordinate with multiple teams; provide ongoing vetting of pharmacies

Qualifications
- BS/BA in a related field with 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience; 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access; CNS specialty experience preferred, or
- Masterβs or MBA with 4+ years of related experience, or
- PharmD or PhD with 2+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, PBMs, and government payers
- Excellent knowledge of patient support programs and reimbursement processes
- Understanding of prescription adjudication and prior authorization processes
- Experience across pharma/biotech functions (sales, management, marketing, managed markets)
- Knowledge of current industry issues and healthcare system dynamics
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60% (US-wide, field collaboration, meetings, key customers)
- Ability to work across dispersed teams and lead multiple teams
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines with accuracy
