Role Summary
The Regional Patient Access Manager (RPAM) is responsible for providing field access support and education to Healthcare Professionals to maximize patient access to Neurocrine Biosciences products, coordinating with Specialty Pharmacies, Closed Door Pharmacies, and HUB partners, and maintaining the integrity of the pharmacy distribution network within an assigned geography.
Responsibilities
- Provide field access support services and education to HCPs to maximize patient access and accelerate time to treatment
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies, Closed Door Pharmacies (including Genoa), and HUB partners in support of marketed products in the U.S.
- Build and uphold the pharmacy distribution network by conducting vetting activities, communicating approvals/denials/removals, and monitoring network integrity
- Provide support and education to HCPs on coverage issues for on-label prescriptions, access processes, payer-specific coverage issues, and patient financial support programs
- Serve as subject matter expert on regional and national payer coverage policies and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, network pharmacies, market access, commercial analytics, and operations
- Work with Payer Marketing to create materials for payer awareness of coverage requirements
- Monitor processes, propose workflow improvements, and share best practices with trade leadership
- Conduct Patient Access workshops and assist with new hire training as needed

Qualifications
- BS/BA in related field with 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, including 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access; CNS experience preferred
- Masterβs degree or MBA preferred with 4+ years of related experience OR PharmD/PhD with 2+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers, and government payers
- Experience with patient support programs and reimbursement/adherence initiatives
- Knowledge of prescription adjudication and payer coverage criteria/Prior Authorization processes
- Experience across pharma/biotech functions (sales, management, marketing, managed markets) is a plus
- Understanding of current industry issues and national health care system
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60% (geographically dispersed across the US)
- Strong tool/process improvement mindset; ability to lead multiple teams and work cross-functionally
- Excellent computer, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with high accuracy; strong project management and interpersonal skills
