Position Summary:
Regional Medical Field Director (RMFD) leading and developing a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) in the Eastern US to support the infectious disease and monoclonal antibody portfolio. Refining field operational processes, coaching/mentoring, and integrating field insights into cross-functional strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop MSLs to ensure scientific excellence, credible engagement, and alignment with company objectives
- Conduct regular field visits and observation to mentor MSLs on scientific exchange and stakeholder engagement
- Drive continuous learning, scientific growth, and professional development for MSLs
- Ensure consistent messaging, ethical conduct, and scientific integrity across field interactions
- Partner with Operations and IT to optimize medical CRM, field insight reporting, and territory planning
- Establish metrics and dashboards to evaluate field activity, insight quality, and strategic impact
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field medical activities
- Collaborate with headquarters functions to ensure bidirectional communication and alignment
- Represent field perspectives in brand/asset planning, evidence generation, and launch readiness
- Identify and communicate external insights to inform medical strategy, clinical trial design, and publication planning
- Collaborate with Clinical Development, HEOR, and Commercial teams (as appropriate)
- Maintain external relationships with regional scientific leaders and networks
- Support congress activities, advisory boards, and investigator engagement

Requirements:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD preferred; exceptional MSc with relevant experience considered)
- Minimum 5 years in Medical Affairs, including at least 3 years in field leadership or senior MSL roles

Preferred:
- Therapeutic expertise in infectious diseases, immunology, or cardiovascular medicine
- Prior experience building/scaling field medical teams

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop scientific personnel
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution; comfortable building in a fast-growing biotech environment
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills
- Strong analytics mindset
- Agile, collaborative, entrepreneurial problem-solving approach
- ~60% travel within region; ability to travel to New Haven HQ once a month

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base pay range: $184,000–$245,000
- Eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive (e.g., equity)
