Role Summary
The Immunology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is a field-based role responsible for developing and optimizing national and regional marketing initiatives aligned with AbbVie’s Annual Strategic Brand Plans. The RMM collaborates with cross-functional teams and serves as the face of AbbVie Marketing with External Experts to generate insights within assigned geographies, helping to drive brand performance across Immunology. Geography includes Tampa, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Miami, FL; Charlotte, NC; Asheville, NC; Knoxville, TN; and Atlanta, GA. This role requires residence within a reasonable distance of the primary city.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing: Lead projects compliantly and effectively through the promotional review process to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion; ensure alignment with regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes.
- Strategic Marketing: Manage strategy, execution and budgeting for national and regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and commercial peer-to-peer education programming.
- Strategic Marketing: Continually evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing tactics and make strategic recommendations for brand optimization.
- Strategic Marketing: Provide in-depth insights on key business questions to inform marketing strategy, resource optimization and tactic development that drives brand performance.
- Strategic Marketing: Lead partnerships with field leadership to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies.
- Strategic Marketing: Understand geography-specific market drivers, competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
- Strategic Marketing: Coordinate the direction and deliverables of multiple external vendors and internal partners including Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Office of Ethics and Compliance, and IT.
- Thought Leader Engagement: Identify, build, and strengthen commercial relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associations within assigned geography.
- Thought Leader Engagement: Develop regional engagement plans for External Experts and ensure consistent tactical execution throughout the year.
- Thought Leader Engagement: Demonstrate understanding of external and internal drivers across stakeholder groups and connect AbbVie Integrated Brand Teams on opportunities for collaboration in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Travel up to 75% of the time including evenings and weekends (Required).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements (Required).
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment (Required).
- Preferred: Previous immunology experience (sales, sales management, or marketing) with at least 2 years in Immunology.
- Preferred: Previous gastroenterology experience.
