Role Summary
The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is a field-based role focusing on Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within a defined geography and cancer type. The RMM will develop strategies and implementation plans directed toward external stakeholders, lead regional advisory boards, speaker programs, and other marketing tactics, and collaborate with regulatory, legal, medical, market access, and sales teams. This role focuses on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and covers ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, PA, NJ, WV, OH, KY, IN, MI, IL, and WI.
Responsibilities
- Help lead the key customer marketing efforts in their respective regions
- Balance customer-facing time and managing marketing projects
- Drive results in key areas, including KOL relationship management, insights collection/reporting, advocacy development, speaker identification, training and management, and regional marketing efforts
- Develop clinical and commercial knowledge of the ALL market; understand the regional treatment and market specifics
- Help formulate strategic and tactical plans regarding education and KOL engagements based on regional market trends
- Develop engagement plans to enhance relationships with KOLs and sites of care across functions (MDs, pharmacists, nurses, administrators) and settings (academic and community)
- Lead development, content creation, and deployment of regional advisory boards and other insight generation projects
- Contribute to speaker bureau development, including recruiting, content development, training, execution, and evaluation of branded and unbranded educational programs
- Contribute to pull-through of commercial strategies at medical conferences and meetings
- Prioritize and help develop and implement peer-to-peer education or other tactics for regional markets
- Establish strong relationships with internal functions β sales, access, and medical teams
- Ensure plans and tactics meet compliance and regulatory standards
- Participate on cross-functional teams and represent the Brand team at PMRC meetings and other internal meetings as required
- Manage marketing projects and budgets for regional key customer activities
Qualifications
- Required: 5+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (sales, marketing, thought-leader liaison, key customer relations, or equivalent)
- Required: 3+ years of oncology experience
- Required: Previous KOL-facing experience
- Preferred: Breadth of functional experience
- Preferred: Hematology market experience
- Preferred: Launch experience
- Required: Outstanding interpersonal skills, strategic relationship management, and collaboration abilities
- Required: Team-oriented with strong communication skills, including presenting to cross-functional teams
- Required: Good judgment, strategic thinking, planning, and project management skills
- Required: Strong project management skills
- Required: Approximately 40-50% travel
Education
- Required: Bachelorβs Degree (life sciences or related discipline a plus)
- Preferred: Graduate degree
