Regional Lead - State Government Affairs (CA.)

Role: Regional Lead of State Government Affairs, focusing on strategic planning, advocacy, and relationship management to advance Novo Nordisk's policy goals at the state level. Responsibilities include developing proactive and reactive strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities, monitoring legislation and regulations impacting the company's interests, and engaging with policymakers, government officials, and external stakeholders to promote Novo Nordisk's positions. The role involves managing relationships with state agencies, legislative bodies, trade associations, and health advocacy groups, as well as collaborating internally across teams to support patient access and align policy initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in state legislative affairs, government relations, or lobbying, with multi-state lobbying experience preferred. Requires strong policy analysis, relationship-building, strategic planning, advocacy, and communication skills. Knowledge of healthcare policy, possibly within the diabetes and obesity space, is advantageous. Work setup involves 20-30% overnight travel, including to Princeton or Washington DC.
